Terms
Terms and conditions
How booking, cancellation, payment and gift vouchers work — all in one place.
This is an English translation for your convenience. The legally binding version is the Czech original; if the two ever differ, the Czech version prevails.

1. Introduction
These general terms and conditions govern the relationship between the operator of Wau Wau Massages and any client who orders a massage, another service on offer or a gift voucher.
By booking an appointment, ordering a service or purchasing a gift voucher, the client confirms that they have read these terms and conditions and agree to them.
Wau Wau Massages is operated by Lenka Šínová, company ID (IČO) 86981731, under a valid trade licence.
Wau Wau Massages is not registered for VAT. The prices stated are final.
2. Services offered
Wau Wau Massages offers in particular:
- custom massages,
- touch therapy,
- maderotherapy,
- manual lymphatic drainage,
- and other individually tailored massages, depending on what is currently on offer.
The current range of services, the description of each service, its length and its price are given on the website wauwaumasaze.cz.
Each massage may be adapted to the client's current needs, their wishes and what is possible within the particular appointment.
For a custom massage, before it begins we agree together on what the client currently needs. On that basis I can adjust the technique, intensity, pace and focus of the massage.
3. Booking a massage
A massage appointment can be booked:
- through the Booqito online booking system,
- by phone,
- via WhatsApp,
- by email,
- or, where applicable, in another way agreed in advance.
An online booking is complete once it has been confirmed by the Booqito booking system.
Agreeing on a specific appointment creates a binding booking.
In the Booqito system, a booking may also be combined with online payment or another method of payment, depending on the options currently available.
4. Where services are provided
Massages are provided primarily at the Wau Wau Massages studio in Prague 4 – Kunratice.
Wau Wau Massages also provides mobile massages, under the conditions stated for the particular service or agreed individually.
The exact place where the massage will take place is stated when booking or is given to the client when the booking is arranged individually.
5. The massage session
The stated length of a massage is the net time of the massage on the table. The short conversation before the massage, the preparation and the winding-down time afterwards are in addition to this time.
Before the massage, we agree together on how it will proceed and what the client expects from it.
During the massage, the client may say at any time if they wish to change the pressure, pace or position, or to leave out any part of the massage.
For me, the client's boundaries and comfort are an important part of every massage.
After the massage, the client is given time to wind down quietly and, where appropriate, to receive advice on aftercare.
6. Health and contraindications
The massages are intended for healthy individuals and do not replace medical care, diagnosis or the treatment of any medical condition.
Before the massage, the client is obliged to inform me of any facts that may be relevant to the massage being carried out safely, in particular any current health problems, injuries, operations, pregnancy, medication being taken or other limitations, where these may affect the course of the massage.
If the client is unsure whether a particular massage is suitable for them, I recommend that they consult their own doctor beforehand.
I reserve the right to refuse a massage, adjust how it is carried out or end it if, given the client's current state of health, carrying it out would not be safe or appropriate.
7. Hygiene and safety during the massage
A massage may be refused or ended in particular if:
- the client arrives with obvious symptoms of an infectious illness,
- their current state of health does not allow the massage to be carried out safely,
- they are under the influence of alcohol or other addictive substances,
- basic hygiene conditions cannot be ensured,
- the client behaves aggressively or inappropriately, or in any other way compromises the safety and dignity of the massage.
If a massage is refused for health or safety reasons, the next steps are decided individually, depending on the specific situation.
8. Cancellation and rescheduling
If the client cannot attend a booked massage, I kindly ask them to let me know as soon as possible.
Cancelling or rescheduling more than 24 hours before the appointment
If the client cancels or reschedules an appointment more than 24 hours in advance, no cancellation fee is charged for the change.
By agreement, the appointment can be moved to another available date and time.
Cancelling less than 24 hours before the appointment
If an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled less than 24 hours before it is due to start, the cancellation fee is 50% of the price of the booked service.
The same condition also applies if the client fails to attend a booked appointment without giving prior notice.
If the service was paid for in advance, 50% of the amount paid may be applied as the cancellation fee. By agreement with the client, I can refund the remaining amount in the form of a discount code for a future massage.
In the event of repeated unexcused non-attendance, I reserve the right to require a deposit for the next booking.
9. Late arrival
Ideally, please arrive 10–15 minutes before the start of your massage, so that you have enough time to settle in calmly, get ready and also fill in the health questionnaire.
If the client arrives late, the massage may be shortened by the length of the delay so that subsequent bookings are not disrupted.
In such a case, the price of the massage remains unchanged.
If the client arrives significantly late, the appointment may, after individual assessment, be treated as unused, and the cancellation terms may apply to it.
10. Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers may be issued for a specific massage or for any amount.
By agreement, a voucher can also be used for a different service. If the price of the chosen service is higher than the value of the voucher, the client pays the difference.
A gift voucher is currently valid for 12 months from the date of issue, unless stated otherwise on the voucher.
If, for health or other serious reasons, the client is unable to use the voucher before it expires, they may contact me and ask for an extension. The validity can be extended only for serious reasons.
Gift vouchers may be issued electronically as a PDF or in printed form.
A voucher can be redeemed when booking or by prior arrangement.
11. Payment
Depending on the options currently available, a massage can be paid for in particular:
- by payment card,
- by QR code payment,
- by bank transfer,
- in cash,
- with a gift voucher,
- with a benefit card, in particular Pluxee or Edenred, where the particular service is supported through that system.
The current payment options may be shown directly in the Booqito booking system or alongside the particular service.
Wau Wau Massages is not registered for VAT.
12. Personal belongings
The client is responsible for any personal belongings they bring to the studio.
I recommend putting valuables away in a safe place during the massage.
If the client leaves something behind, I will try to contact them and arrange to hand the item back.
13. Clothing and oil
For some types of massage I use massage oils or other products.
I recommend that the client comes in comfortable clothing that they would not mind getting oil on.
During the massage, the body is covered so that only the part currently being massaged is uncovered.
For touch therapy, the client may stay in comfortable clothing, depending on the nature of the particular service.
14. Complaints
If the client is not satisfied with the service provided, they may contact me without undue delay by email at info@wauwaumasaze.cz.
The complaint will be assessed individually, taking into account the nature of the particular service and in accordance with the applicable legislation.
15. Accompanying persons
If the client needs to be accompanied during the massage, it is advisable to say so in advance.
The presence of an accompanying person must not disrupt the massage, the client's privacy or the running of the studio.
For clients who are minors, matters are handled in accordance with the applicable legislation and according to the nature of the service provided.
16. Personal data protection
Clients' personal data is processed in accordance with the privacy policy published on the Wau Wau Massages website.
Information about clients' health is collected only to the extent necessary to provide the service safely and is handled in accordance with the applicable legislation.
Details are set out in the Privacy policy document.
17. Changes to the terms and conditions
I may update these terms and conditions from time to time in line with changes to the services provided, the booking process or the applicable legislation.
For any specific order, the version of the terms and conditions in force at the time the order was placed applies.
18. Final provisions
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic.
If any provision of these terms and conditions proves to be invalid or unenforceable, this does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.
These terms and conditions, together with the privacy policy and other documents published on the Wau Wau Massages website, form the conditions under which the services are provided.
