Trigger point massage

Focused work with muscle tension and the tender spots inside your muscles. Right where the tension holds on longest.

Focused work with muscle tension and the tender spots inside your muscles.

Using pressure and massage techniques, I concentrate on the specific areas where tension and overload gather. Trigger point massage can be a good addition to caring for overworked muscles — in the neck, back, shoulders, glutes or legs.

You will know a trigger point because it hurts more than you would expect when touched — and the pain often ‘shoots’ somewhere else. That is exactly why a shoulder can give you a headache, or a glute can make your leg ache.

I work slowly and hold the pressure only as long as it is needed. Throughout the massage you tell me how the intensity feels — you set the limits.

Who it is for

  • You get headaches that start in your shoulders and neck
  • You have ‘knots’ in your muscles that will not massage out
  • You suffer from lower back pain or pain shooting down your leg
  • You spend long hours at a computer or behind the wheel
  • A classic massage is not enough and you want to go straight to the spot

What it will give you

  • Relief from long-standing muscle tension
  • Fewer headaches coming from the neck
  • Better mobility in the shoulders and cervical spine
  • Release of overworked areas after sport

What the massage draws on

  • Ischaemic compression — sustained pressure on the point
  • Release guided by your own breathing
  • Stretching and massaging the surrounding area afterwards
  • Advice on what to do at home

Good to know

  • The spot can feel tender the day after — a normal reaction that passes quickly.
  • Trigger point massage is not a substitute for medical care. If your problems persist, see a doctor or a physiotherapist.

Looking forward to meeting you
